This study aims to analyze the performance of 500-watt photovoltaic solar panels in the Qasr Bin Ghashir region of Libya, with a focus on the impact of climatic and physical factors on energy production efficiency. A comprehensive methodology was adopted, incorporating climatic and geographic analysis, field data collection, and computer simulation using the PVsyst software. The results revealed a clear seasonal variation in production rates, with peak performance recorded during spring and autumn. A decline in efficiency was observed at a rate of 0.45% for every degree Celsius above 25°C. The findings also indicated that dust accumulation leads to a direct productivity loss ranging from 15% to 30%. The study concluded that April and May represent the most favorable operational periods due to optimal climatic conditions. Recommendations included several solutions to enhance performance, such as implementing effective cooling systems, adopting regular cleaning schedules, and improving panel installation standards.
